As a Roudani native, I love seeing our region highlighted, but I’d love to share a little cultural context! 🇲🇦✨ While Taroudant is part of the Tachelhit/Amazigh region, the specific dress style and Ahwash rhythm featured here actually lean much more toward the traditional Chleuh/Ahwash heritage of the Ouarzazate, Zagora, or High Atlas regions rather than the classic city-Roudani or lowland Soussia attire (which usually features different silver jewelry, fabrics, and drape styles). It’s common for local riads or festivals in Taroudant to invite Ahwash troupes from neighboring mountain regions, which might be why this was filmed here! Beautiful video, but always great to appreciate the unique regional nuances of Amazigh culture! ❤️
