Parents have to know first. So they can tell the tooth fairy. Only parents have communication with the tooth fairy.

I would be so proud I would say, “Excellent work, next level unlocked” and give them $300 for being smart, a free thinker, and brave. Confronting authority figures using evidence based facts to hold them accountable is its own skill.

Oh, I handled this early (because I was the young cynical detective once) - all of the things must go through the proper channels - Santa, the Easter Bunny & the Tooth Fairy are all on digital systems now due to the Earth's population increase over time, so if you don't log that shit, nothing happens. This is also why Mom gets an email Easter morning with the number of eggs hidden and any instructions for scavenger hunts. Also, I'm an expert at finding those "fallen" dollars when some kid is upset that the fairy didn't come. Mom jobs are so underrated. 😆😁

How does a parent not notice a missing tooth?

My oldest son tried to get back at his brother by telling him that I was actually the tooth fairy. He told all his friends that I went into their bedrooms 🧚♂️

My 4 yr old hoped Santa didn't eat all the cookies... she wanted his DNA to find out who he is.

1. Tell the kids the tooth fairy doesn’t take yellow dirty teeth so they better brush. 2. Tell them they have to tell their parent(s) so we can inform the tooth fairy because she doesn’t talk to kids. Worked for me lmao

I did that with milk and cookies for Santa when I was 10. I left them in my room and told no one, the cookies had no bite, and the milk glass was still full

This is how my son found out. He was 11 though so took it as a win (and he didn’t tell me this until he was 13).

I did the exact same thing to prove tooth fairy isn't real. I'm a scientist now 😂

Tooth fairy is only activated by sharing the lost tooth outloud… voice activated

Would’ve told him that the parents have to notify the tooth fairy so they know to come get it

The parents have to call the fairy to let her know. She’s a busy girl after all. 🤷♀️

me as a parent I'll never lie to my daughter about tooth fairy or Santa . cuz eventually they'll find out it's all lies

the tooth fairy isn't a mind reader. parents have to let the fairy know to stop by and get the tooth. just like when you put the red flag up when you have outgoing mail
