Can we blame them? They have seen the world. They now understand how well we shud be vs how bad we are. As such, they wonder abt the status quo. Also, we cannot blame those that criticize the demonization. They haven't seen better so their understanding of a working system is limited. E.g. Celebrating tarred road😁. Either way, we are at an impasse. Those that now know better vs those who have no idea what a working system feels like. For either sides of the divide, I will say this..."It is okay to question everything". As a fellow academia, I am sure you know what this means. Until, you start asking the right questions, all answers will be unfit even when it looks good.

You clearly don’t understand it. Half of Nigerians abroad don’t want to be there in the first place. It’s a decision they were forced to make to enjoy the basic things of life (steady light, water, security…). When you’ve experienced living abroad, you will get angry over and over again cos it’s the most basics things and our govt can’t provide it. Over 3/4 generations have complained over the same basics things yet no changes.

Have you seen how leftist critize America right now or how some UK citizens cry daily about costs of living, housing problem and other issues. It is everywhere, when people talk about the reality and struggle of average Nigerians without political connections, security, social amenities, lack of rule of laws, inflation, poverty level, health care. In this present century, Nigeria can't give 24 hours electricity nor provide water. It the reality, unless you don't understand what is the minimum standard of living should be.
