I think it's great that your parents trusted you and that it worked well for your family. But I don't think it's fair to compare it with strict parenting as if one is always better than the other. . There are children raised by very strict parents who still grow up kind, responsible, and mature. There are also children raised with more freedom who still end up making bad choices. Some strict parents set boundaries because they are worried and trying to protect their children, not because they lack maturity or love. At the same time, overly permissive parenting can also become harmful when parents neglect their responsibility. . In the end, the important thing is not simply whether parents are strict or not, but whether there is wisdom, communication, guidance, and care.

my parents tak pernah being strict even about my studies, dorang tak pernah paksa or marah i suruh study but somehow sebab kepercayaan yg dorg bagi dekat i tulah buat i taknak kecewakan dorg in studies and other things jugak. i love them for that 🥹🫶
