I fell into quicksand. I had no idea the beach was dangerous and had no idea how to get out. I leaned forward,laid on the beach and kicked then crawled. This video is good but I'd never willingly do that again.

no matter where i go I always have a stick/walking pole with me whenever I go on a beach I place it in the sand and see how deep it goes. if it goes past a certain depth I do not walk on. this video is helpful if ever getting stuck. but should always know when on a beach what to look out for before entering that part. beach can be a very dangerous place always and even more if you do not have a clue.
