super correct take, I used to have a favorite streamer in 2021/2022 that I would count down til his streams, stay the entire length of the stream, be a super active chatter and gradually I just stopped doing it, streamer didn't do anything, his content was still great, my life just changed 🤷‍♀️

This is good advice specifically because streamers are predisposed to think the opposite. Ludwig's statistic is true in general, but untrue for the top 1% or top 0.1% of chatters. That means the chatters you're most likely to see often enough to recognize them ARE gonna stay, probably. They just aren't representative of the rest of chat. Dismissing that preconception is huge
