I finally figured out what triggered me as a child..it was those damn knockerball ponytails. thick straight hair down to my ass and my mom would give me 2 ponytails on either side of my head almost everyday. I f'ing hate those things.

Excuse me white girl here we all had them in the 1980’s. Those shits hurt when my mom popped um on my head. K-mart carried them. WE ALL wore them lol even us pasty whites.

Every kid in my elementary school wore those, black folks do not own them. White kids wore them just as much as anyone else. They were marketed and sold to us first and everyone in good time.

Every girl had them back in the 70’s and 80’s. It was a trend like jelly shoes. BTW those things were terrible but we all wore em.

I was born in the 70s... I had hair down to my butt and super thick.... those were the only ones that would hold my hair I am from Vancouver BC Canada and I remember everybody with long hair would wear them... they are just a type of hair fastener 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️yikes
