here's an idea if your truck has manual mode put your truck and manual 5 and you don't need to spend the money it stays in V8 all the time I've done it for 4 years now

4.3 doesn’t have it, also if your lifters are already ticking it means they have collapsed and deleting AFM/DOD will not resolve it best to delete it before they start ticking.

Not even advertising this to its full potential AFM Started in 2005! It got put into the blocks for the Trail Blazers with the 5.3s they also put it in the LS4 in 05

tried one (not this one) for my 12 silverado and didnt work!! my 08 impala ss 5.3 all I have to do is unplug the brake booster vacuum sensor and 4cylinder mode gone but gives a check engine light but who cares
