You match the outside air, because the fog is happening due to a great difference in temp on each side of the windshield.

Technically both will work. It’s just one will tend to work better. I find hot works in most circumstances no matter the weather tho. Just uncomfortable

turn it to the opposite temperature of what's outside, turn off recirculation, and full blast it. morning dew should go away within 3 minutes

i live in florida, i have to use my AC, so my windows fog up on the outside. i use my wipers constantly

It’s about making the temperature of the inside surface of the glass the same as the outside surface of the glass so you want to use hot air if you want to use the heater on the way home
