Omg. It's so cute to see a Russian/central Asian place in Korea 😍 hope you enjoyed it! Fun fact - When Koreans started moving to the USSR and they couldn't find the cabbage for kimchi they started pickling the available veggies and that's how the Korean carrot salad came to life🙌

I was surprised to learn that there’s a large Korean population in Almaty Kazakhstan. I tried one of the restaurants while I was there and it was really good.

The language looks Russian to me and when I translate the word on the page that she pointed to that was goulash…it translated to goulash so I think Russian 🥰

I love the carrot salad! In Russian it’s called „(spicy) carrot salad Korean style“ and it’s so easy to make at home!! It’s carrots and fried onions in vinegar and garlic. We also use salt, pepper, grounded coriander seeds and a little chilli flakes to season it.
