@sgtcutty: Turns out not all growth is the kind they were talking about. 💀 Military life hits different when experience teaches you exactly what you don’t want. funny military life military humor junior enlisted leadership active duty service member marines army navy air force coast guard space force relatable and miltok #miltok #e4mafia #barrackslife #militaryhumor #militarylife
there’s opportunities alright, they just didn’t mention that they’re giving all of the good opportunities to their friends

Got out about a year and a half ago and life has never been better 🙏🏻 Don't listen to any bs propaganda about staying in, it's really not worth it. I miss some of the clowns but definitely never the circus. The grass truly is greener on the other side

i usually feel military life is some kind of slavery by the way just awaiting someones orders ,having to stick to the rules, being overworked like the hype is not even necessary.

The only people that try to sell the whole “there’s no opportunities outside the military” bullshit are people who never had any other job than the military. Every. Single. Person. Who told me that is still in and miserable. I make more than 90% of my old leadership just going to school using the GI Bill.

I didnt accumulate leave days when I joined, noticed it 18 months in when I wanted to take leave for the first time, I went to get it fixed, they said nothing could be done, I took advanced leave in order to go, then a year later when I water leave I apparently had negative 30 days, so I had to wait 2 years to take leave again cus they wouldn't just let me take advanced leave again, Im still missing those 18 months worth of leave and being told it'll get fixed.

I guess it depends on your job, I did 20, sure there were a few bad days, the CO ended up with a Brain Tumor, so that was 1 really good thing.

I think the only thing that is still holding me back from just jumping ship is the healthcare benefits. But aren’t there civilian jobs out there that have great healthcare that makes it manageable to afford?

Or the fact that they’ll block you out of every opportunity available if you aren’t in their inner circle.

I got out when everything shut down for Covid and they were like “why can’t we keep any good people” as they were discussing isolating the single airmen to live in one of the dorms a month at a time so they could still dispatch.

Ty guys for your service.sorry u had those bad experiences I recently retired usmc of 30 years. Retired e-9 sgt. major 6 combat missions. Dam ate enough sand for a lifetime. Military isn’t for everyone it has its pros and cons. But for the most part it provided for my family. 4 homes paid for and kids college paid for. While serving wife’s 401 k has gone up dramatically along with Roth. Plus military pension and healthcare. I would do it all over again but you have to have the rite mindset to be a lifer. We struggled had our ups and downs but we made it through and now start to enjoy civilian life. lol but not for long I’ve started my own security consulting firm and hired 40 ex military/veterans to help run stateside and overseas contracts. Guys again thank u for your service and god bless Semper fi
