In review boosting, a scammer creates a fake profile with your information, sends you their product, and then leaves a glowing 5-star review. This boosts their rating and leads to more sales. In QR code scams, the scammer wants you to scan a code that opens a website designed to harvest more of your information. They may try to get you to pay them for the product or pay for return shipping. The FTC says unordered merchandise is considered a gift. In either case, you need to know how to protect yourself.
