i think freedom is also accepting that things will change & sometimes just sometimes it’s okay not to remain the same. i think about loss & grief in particular. nobody comes out of those things the same. you come out forever different, forever changed. fragments of you remain the same, yes. but there are so many new parts of yourself to learn.

To me, what happens to you is going to change something in you, for that is freedom. My view of this is that being the same person no matter what situation, is vanishing yourself from the presence of all that is truth(You do not accept change even if it's bound to happen). Whilst other people learned that changing does not strip you of freedom. Changing as a person is a must, that's what makes you appreciate being a person with power of freedom. Even thinking of staying as the same person, and your ability to refuse be, proves that you have freedom, because these 2 choices each to their own have a contradiction.
