If they didn’t want people to speed, they should raise the speed limits. If I’m on a straight open road, I’m not doing 55.

Idk how you’d ever prove a speeding ticket caught by aircraft. No way you’re hauling that plane operator to court. There’s too many cases and too few operators

using a plane to catch speeders seems like a huge waste of money

How does that work if there's zero warning. I got pulled over last year because of a plane but there was zero information about that i didn't even know that possible. A cop that didn't even see me driving pulled up behind us on the interstate and pulled me over.

Using automated systems is a 4th amendment violation and qualifies as unwarranted mass surveillance. States that actually have a sense of the constitution realize this and have banned speed and red light cameras. The use of drones to replace aircraft is not the same since it is being manned and the officer who issues the ticket can be called in front of a court to testify to the validity of the ticket. Flock is unwarranted mass surveillance. Sure flock can exist but the police should need to get a warrant with specific time, date and location details to access the camera system. Drones used in other police work such as looking for a running suspect should not be allowed to record video because it can be looked back on and be used to track unrelated individuals without a warrant resulting in a 4th amendment violation

at least drones dont cause traffic jams when knuckleheads that jam on their break when they see a trooper (which, is always too late). I just dont see how anyone can speed in VA.... 95 is always backed up.

Meanwhile they're going the extra mile with Flock by selling your info to whatever agency wants it.

My dad claimed they used A-10s and you’d end up in a crater if you did 56.
