What’s so frustrating abt social media is ppl aren’t able to understand nuance. You can be happy w the dress for what it was at the time while also now fully understanding your own questions/frustrations at that time were valid since others have talked abt their own.

I got my hair done like 2 years ago, it looked good and I was happy with the color and cut… I left a review that stated I was happy and she did a great job… then came for my first at home wash and I realized she FRIED my hair, it was so gummy and stretchy and I sobbed. I felt like I couldn’t ask for a refund or anything because I had left a good review already. I understand the feeling of the “in the moment satisfied” then realizing after the fact you got robbed.

💯!! Also to your defense, there were many times in my “bridal journey” where I had rose colored glasses on when dealing with vendors because I just wanted to have a good experience even though looking back, I’d probably have a different perspective/more of a backbone

No this is so valid though. My second dress was and is BEAUTIFUL but I noticed when we got our photos back that the bottom hem is literally like a plowed field. So uneven. But at the time I was thrilled.

Also sometimes things don’t seem like as a big deal when you have a lot going on at that time??? So sometimes people sharing their experiences is like okay wait actually my feelings are verrrry valid. It’s not hoping on the bandwagon- it’s having a second opinion and wishing u would have spoken up at the time!

A large part of the problems ppl are having with her, is that she behaves like that one hairstylist we’ve all been to; where she is able to convince you in the chair you love your hair, and you praise it and leave happy but a little anxious. Then you get home, and you realize she did not do what you asked and didn’t bring you along on the process. It’s not just about the dress.

I also think ppl need to remember not EVERYONE is great at speaking up in the moment and trust the person who’s the professional. And also, you were in the bubble of your wedding. Looking back on photos later you could see things didn’t sit right etc. it makes sense I don’t get ppl coming at you over it.

Also once you have committed enough money to the process you have to just go with it. Better that you let the small things go at the time to enjoy your day and the dress. Does not mean you cannot say if you could have done it differently under better time constraints you would have.
