They tested the sample once and immediately announced they’d found the source. Even I know that’s not enough. You verify the result by testing it again, then test it again to confirm, and only make an announcement after you’re confident the findings are accurate.

It's not just Taco Bell that same farm provides lettuce for almost every single fast food restaurant look it up. I'm not eating any fresh produce unless I get it directly from a farm near me. The bacteria that causes it comes from human feces the farmers are crapping out in the fields and that bacteria is being spread that way and it only grows in tropical areas so it could be Florida could be Mexico Brazil Colombia it comes from all of those places I was an exchange student in Mexico when I was in high school and yes there is no place for a restroom they do poop and pee out in the fields.
