one of my knitting students asked me, "How do you ever get over the fear of accidentally pulling your needles out of your project and dropping every stitch?" and I just blinked at her with a blank expression on my face and said, "you just do it enough times until you realize it isn't a big deal and you can always go back and pick up the stitches." Then I told her how often I've tried pulling out a sock I was knitting that when I went to pull the project out of a bag, I either pulled the dpns out of the loops or I pulled the fabric and the dpns were stuck in something and I basically pulled the needles out of the sock in a different way. My student just looked at me like this 😳😳

I had go frog back 7 rows (240 stitches each) for a lace project one of my eyelets was in the wrong place 🥲 and just pulled my needles out and then put them back in after lol

this works better for me than trying to retroactively put in a lifeline... I always manage to pick up different rows but this always works when I have to frog!

I did it with cotton once, dropped about 5 stitches, picked them back up when knitting the row. And I am a beginner, but it's just loops going through each other 🤷♀️

this yarn looks so much like the one im knitting with now (Linen Quill from Purl Soho). Is it the same? Or another spun yarn where the flax from the linen is still visible? I was surprised how pleasant it is to work with
