its been initiated here Aug 1, '25. those on a current job prior to that date were not expected to change. so I spent the following 4mnths wearing my old hard hat. my next job they had to be on. but knew it was going to be a tough sell, so as long as you were on a safe surface below 3' you didnt have to have it clipped, as long as you weren't supervision. now, we are in the mandate phase. and thankfully I work confined spaces. because I would be losing it. nothing more idiotic than wearing a chin strap while walking. even our trade spends most its time looking down. I had 4 hardhat lanyards confiscated because they are no longer able to be used. so when my hardhat slides off and the chin strap fails, what happens?

Haven’t heard shit about the super trooper helmets here in Onterrible however we do cowboy shit and no one has stopped us so I doubt there’s will make a difference lol

It’s bad enough we need hard hats while doing landscaping work on job sites! I never figured out what was going to fall onto my head while laying sod and installing irrigation. 🤔

I have moved from the construction side of the trade so no hard hats anymore. But I can just imagine the heads exploding from this implementation. Some guys would get majorly upset having to wear a contractor supplied hard hat instead of the one they had since the 90’s. This might just send some of them right over the edge. 😁
