Saudade is such a important feeling, something we feel and speak of all the time. Yet, it's so hard to actually describe it in another language.

In Filipino, we have the word "kilig". That giddy, happy and thrilling feeling of romantic excitement. Like when your crush noticed you or your partner giving you flowers. it's like having the butterflies in your stomach or when you're blushing and smiling uncontrollably.

saudade is from Portuguese from Portugal, not br; we usually say "desemerdanço" ou "desemerdate" instead of "desenrascanço, it means " if you put yourself in it, you can get yoursel out of it"; cafuné is from br portuguese.
Pls show the differences and search for the origins of the words you speak. Br portuguese and Portuguese from Portugal are very different.

Native Portuguese speaker here. I find it hard to express myself in English, because there aren't words for it. Agonias, for one.

In Ecuador 🇪🇨 we say “changar” to the act of hugging/wrapping someone with your legs. And in many Spanish-speaking countries we say “apapachar”, which means “hugging someone with the soul”—like a more caring way of hugging

why do you think having something in a single word is superior to having a phrase? put phrases together and you have poetry. ain't nothing missing from English that can't be found

In Welsh, the word “hireath” means a profound longing for home, or someplace that is either no longer accessible, or possibly never existed. It’s a mixture of homesickness, grief and nostalgia.
