@after.the.uniform6: $95 BILLION on the table in Congress. Democrats offered an amendment to fund the clean Major Richard Star Act out of that $95 billion — end the wounded veteran tax for 59,000 combat-injured veterans. No cuts. No offsets. Just pay the bill. Republicans said no. But they’ll tell you the money isn’t there. They’ll tell you they have to cut $57 billion from 1.5 million other veterans to afford it. The receipts say otherwise. I’m heading to Washington D.C. tomorrow to sit down with the Ranking Member of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. I’m bringing all of it. All Veterans should get the best of everything without any problem. Republicans not all Republicans but the majority don’t seem to care how much sacrifice a a Veteran goes through. They leave their families with the thought that they may not make it out of a combat zone alive. They do it anyway for the PROTECTION OF AMERICAN PEOPLE AND ALL FAMILIES THAT THEY HAVE NEVER MET AND STILL FIGHT.
