Aren't we all always in some sort of transition? it is not a THEN and NOW, or BEFORE and AFTER. Let it be wherever it takes you, and where you are now is okay!

When my kiddo began their transition, I encouraged them to not label it so they had room to grow while they tried all the next steps. When they were little, they were rainbow. When they approached their teens they became queer. Turns out they are gender fluid and pansexual (with strong preferences). Grow and change and rest and just be my little butterflies.

It's terrifying freedom. But we get to rebuild that fire one log at a time and we get to pick the logs we use this time. The embers are unrealised potential that we get to kindle to new life. It's so surreal.

Jaye, I cannot imagine you being anyone else but you. I love how you have grown into yourself and how comfortable you are in your own skin. And I haven't even seen the early parts of your journey! So I recently just came out as non-binary because there’s always been a part of me that hasn’t always felt fully female and I’m still struggling to know if that’s correct or not. I thought it was but I’m still unsure of what’s happening and I definitely need a lot of help and a lot of guidance. I know you’re a stranger and there’s a good chance you won’t even see this but I for sure do need some help in some guidance if you’re able to provide any, that would be great.

My transition is completely different, but I can so relate to this! I am learning to live with brain injury and retirement after feeling like I was the person I was meant to be. I’m trying to learn I’m still deserving to be loved by friends and family, that it’s ok to grieve the old me and eventually I will find who the new me will be. Thank you for the reminder Jaye🥰
