John was writing to the agnostic? What kind of gaslighting is this. How can John be writing to believers and agnostic in the same Epistle? I pray God opens people eyes to this deception.

DLord's Brother :
You will cause many to die in their sins. Confessing Jesus is NOT the same as confessing sins.

But the Sin in John 1:9 is Plural. Not Sin as in Cor 5:21

When you commit a crime you confess to your lawyer and lawyer takes your case to the court before a judge for defense. So you need to confess to Christ our lawyer

Pastor John :
This doesn't even make sense. John was writing to unbelievers and included himself. "If we confess our sin".
In truth, confession of our sin is confession of the Lordship of Jesus not because he is "Our sin" but because he is " Our Lord", and this is for believers.
If unbelievers confess their sins gor Jesus, it means they have become believers.
Instead of some people to sit down and reevaluate their teaching and correct their errors, they will be saying the translators of the Bible made mistake. This is mischievous deception.

Moses Abari :
despite the fact that Jesus is our advocate, but do not mean we should not confess "our sins". You are also wrong to interpret "our sins" to mean "our sins bearer" in Romans is your own innovation and Eisegesis as opposed to the right exegesis

Elkanah Inimes :
When people who know nothing about the word of God fail to humble themselves and learn, but continue to argue blindly, you can only pity them and pray for them. Confession of sins can not exonerate or safe anyone from the penalty of sin - death. This man of God is absolutely correct. Take it or leave it.
