i built rentsafe.ng at some point but the domain and server is down due to no visitors and it has a feature where users can give ratings of their current apartment and their electricity standard on a scale of 1 to 10 I can share the systems design for anyone interested. so yeah really cool project

I saw smth like this on twitter but the person used a microcontroller that pings a server or smth whenever there is light, so yh that’s how they track light and if no ping for like 10sec assume no light… and yh the challenge there was the internet connection 24/7 mainly but if you have an home Wi-Fi thats easy to solve

I also built something like this but I stopped half way cause I was trying to get API endpoint access from PHED in peotharcourt and it was hard ... my version was going to tell you when U would have light, if Ur transformer is good or not.. and how long maintenance periods would last .. if there would be a black out soon etc a cool addition to Ur set up is using AI or an algorithm logic to use past events and the times U have had light and the days and how long the light stayed to predict the probability by percentage, the time and date u would have light in the future ... after gathering enough data over past months
