I love this - my 8 year old has her own cupboard we keep snacks in for her so she has a variety of available snacks (some healthy some junk) - I was anorexic as a teen and I never wanted my daughter to have the obsession with food that I had. I have always wanted her to see food as fuel and nothing is bad or good but we teach moderation. For us allowing her to have treats makes them not so alluring. Idk. Everyone is different and of course this is personal based on my experience with food growing up :)

I could maybe recommend having a snack bin for before breakfast. Granola bars, fruit snacks etc.. just to tie them over until breakfast?

So I have a kiddo that doesn’t like breakfast foods. That’s been really hard to navigate (she’s 9). I finally figured out that she will eat dinner leftovers for breakfast no problem. So I cook a little extra at dinner to make sure she has enough for breakfast the next day
