People clown the Bundesliga but they would genuinely watch Serie A in the big 2026 and tell you how prestigious it is because it used to be the best league in the world 20 years ago while the current bar for both Serie A and Laliga is in hell. Bundesliga teams keep improving while the other two leagues keep becoming worse and worse and I think we will have some uncomfortable conversations in the following years

The Ballon D’or is a popularity contest and they’re not going to give the award to someone like Kane when Yamal and Mbappe are way more profitable as the faces of the sport. Barca and Madrid just do a much better job of marketing their players to allow for this.

Mbappe is the Champions League top scorer, La liga top scorer, World Cup top scorer, became the all time World Cup top scorer, became France all time scorer, most knockout goals ever, and first player to have two World Cup golden boots. Definitely deserves it.

also if we take out league goals he is still the top scorer. So I don't want to hear anything about Bundesliga "being a weak league" (even tho the average team is better than in LaLiga especially this season). Plus he got 22 g/a in 15 knockout games.
