@thefitgrumbygal: Celebrating what your body can do doesn’t mean you’ve reached your goal. It means you’ve stopped believing your body has to earn your kindness first. You can celebrate the body that carried you through today’s workout. The body that picked up the weights. The body that kept going even when it wanted to quit. You don’t have to wait until you look different to be proud of yourself. The funny thing is… When I stopped punishing my body and started partnering with it, everything changed. Not overnight. Not perfectly. But consistently. Turns out, your body responds a whole lot better to encouragement than criticism. If you’re ready to stop starting over every Monday and start building a healthier relationship with your body, you’re in the right place. Follow for realistic fitness, food freedom, and proof that athletes come in every size. 💙 #plussizeathlete #foodfreedom #burnbootcamp #stopstartingover #realisticfitness @Burn Boot Camp
I need this mindset. Sometimes I get frustrated with myself for lingering symptoms of bacterial meningitis. I try to be grateful to my body for surviving, but it's not always easy.
