A scary diagnosis doesn’t automatically mean a dog has no quality of life. ❤️ ❤️ Sparky is on pimobendan and torasemide and is under the care of a cardiologist. I’m doing everything I can to keep him comfortable and give him the best days possible. I would love to get him an oxygen chamber to help support his breathing on harder days, but it costs over £800 and I’m not able to afford it right now. right chat if i see one more person tell this girl to put her boy down im gonna lose it. let me introduce my baby. this is hooch, he’s 16 years old april 2025 he was having body pains the pains that make him cry every time he makes a movement. i had took him to the vets and the vets had said “have you noticed a lump on his stomach?” i said “no what is that?” she said it’s a tumor. they couldn’t identify the tumour because they couldn’t figure out what it was, they put him on meds the meds was working for a month, until may 2025, he had this cough like he was choking we in nov 2025, he was in a deep sleep and he woke up to choking and then he had his very first seizure. i had taken him to the vets they told me to keep giving him his meds, going on from 2025 to this year, his seizures gradually got very very worse, there’s this one time i had work he woke me up 4am to seizuring so so badly he was very close to dying in my arms i had to give him chest compressions forcefully open his mouth so he didn’t swollow his tongue. he had a seizure again, last month but the seizure he had he was on the floor like a statue with foam coming out. i demanded the vets to help him but they said there’s nothing they can do. we had to put him down 04/08/26. so if everyone tells this girl to put sparky down is wrong because he can be saved, if you have never had a dog before please you don’t have the right to say anything. she ain’t a awful owner she’s not a bad dog mum, she’s doing everything she can to save him. he can be saved. i get where people are coming from but you also don’t know where she’s coming from she wants to do everything she can to save him and i hope this don’t happen, if she had the money to get that operation for sparky and he passes away, she knows in her heart she tried what she could to save her boy. i wish i tried more but there was nothing else i could’ve done… please just support this girl rather then thinking you know how to bring up a dog and how to “save” one. thanks for reading. take care.

Those ppl don't understand. Your dog will let you know when it's time. Had mine for 3 years with end stage heart failure, he was 16. Pain meds, outside trips, and love is all they'll need.

People just sending 1 singular unserious sticker does NOT help btw long comments help better.for everyone who is struggling, please hold on. there is someone out there meant to be the person who holds you on those hard nights, there is a better road ahead and i know it is hard to see it right now. it will get better, you have probably heard it a thousand times, it gets annoying but i promise you, in a few years when you are healed it will be something you look back on. if you have people to text, whether its family or friends, you have reasons to stay. one day at a time, grab a coffee with a friend, rip up a page of homework you just cant figure out, go out and enjoy the world in the night when its quiet. you do not need to prove you are enough to someone who sees what you don’t see in yourself. you are more than just a daughter or son or child, more than just a person. you are unique, with your hobbies, your life, your humor, your skills, your interests. there is a better road ahead, don’t let yourself derail before you see it. i know it is hard, but you are worth more than what you see in the mirror, you are worth more than the empty words that one voice in your head constantly tells you. lol your story isnt over for a reason, because there is something better for you just out of reach and you deserve to be able to reach it. you are loved, even when it doesnt feel like it. you are loved, even when you dont want to hear it. you are enough, even with a failing grade or having to stretch money out for your kiddos. you are doing amazing, even though you dont see it. i know it is hard, but you are closer to the stars than those voices in your head ever will be. you are enough. you are loved. you are cherished. you are worth so much in this world babes. my chihuahua was diagnosed woth heart failure last yeat was given 6 months and she is here over a year later, she is on 5 tablets a day, she has a great vet now that isn't that worried and is liking her progress, she has had one blood test as the test for the x ray is way too much

He’s still around! Make the best of it ‘ (: give him treats and medicine. Limit his pain walking so his heart won’t work over time. Try a stroller. My doggie had the same condition and passed away in a year. It happens so sudden but… you still have some time with them 🥰
