@mjranchmomfinds: Beginner horse riders.I know that you are looking for the one thing that is gonna make you not a beginner and just make the pieces fall into place. And i'm sorry, but it's just not that way. you have to keep showing up, you have to keep trying. You have to develop strength and balance and get a collection of knowledge. Before you're gonna have things start to click and feel like things are falling into place. even as a professional who has been doing horses for thirty two years.I am still learning things daily about horses and horsemanship. there are going to be mean, people, there are going to be people that look down on you or think that you're less than because you're beginning, and don't have a lot of knowledge, just swerve and keep going, honestly don't even take it personally, because it'll drain your energy and you just need the stamina. And the stubbornness in the willpower to keep going, and if you waste energy on that it'll take away from your ability to keep going.

Absolutely 💯, I tell our clients, it takes years to get good at ridong, and horsemanship.

This was/is so helpful to me! As a beginner and life-long horse girl wannabe, at 49 I’m just starting out and I feel so embarrassed and inferior around the barn I lesson at. I have a great trainer who never makes me feel bad, but I see looks I get from younger, experienced riders and I’m trying not to let it rattle me. Your encouragement means a LOT!!! Thank you!
