@queer.heritage.south: How do we tell and record our stories and our secrets? Here’s Community Champion Nu to tell you more about our event this Thursday: Jane Traies (she/her) local writer, researcher, storyteller, film maker, and oral historian has been recording the lives of queer people, uncovering and documenting untold stories. In this sessions Jane will teach us about the fundamentals of Oral History, how to record it, ask the questions, get consent, and navigate conversations about lives that may have remained secret for a long time. Jane will then be interviewing Suchi Chatterjee and talking about her own Lavender Life, collected histories, archiving and the secrets that Brighton and Suchi has yet to reveal! The session will conclude with a practical workshop, where you will have the opportunity to learn interviewing and recording skills, and collect some of your own memories working in pairs under Jane's guidance. Come join us as we discover more and you're welcome to bring something to contribute to what would be your Lavender Museum...
