in case you were curious, there are no new Michaels x Joann's stores, it was really bad (deceptive) marketing from michaels. they bought most of Joann's leftover stock and some of their exclusive brands (think Big Twist yarn) so they stock some joann brands now with Michales x Joann's signs on the yarn/fabric isles. it also varies widely from store to store, some have huge expansive yarn/fabric sections some have next to nothing.

Michael’s had a color changing yarn a few years ago. I miss it so much. They’d start as white & once the sun/UV light hit it, it would slowly change to either pink or purple. They discontinued it so quickly, which makes no sense.
