Duke Energy reported a net income of $4.912 billion for the full year 2025, alongside total revenues of $32.237 billion! My bill is 300! When we moved here 10 years ago it was $90!

I mean....Duke Energy was found guilty of overcharging in 2024 and the consumers didn't see a dime in refunds. When will Duke Energy face consequences for literally anything? They grab up NC politicians like millennials collecting pogs in the 90s.

You need to look into and audit the utility’s commission and see how much kickback they are getting. Theres no reason why they keep approving all of these rate increases.

why should we pay for infrastructure. Duke charges for Transmission (lines). Duke charges for generation from plants. like any other business, they can pay for their own buildings and no increase. hit any data center with an impact fee to build or they can go elsewhere.
