I think who you marry makes a difference and not necessarily marriage itself. Also, if kids are the main reason why you would seek partnership, why not have kids by yourself? Modern medicine and all?

Being single for long is dangerous. You learn to live and be on your own and eventually see little to nothing you will get from a relationship that you can’t do for yourself. So I 100% agree with her. Do it NOW

As a 33 year old who hasn't dated anyone in over 10 years and has never experienced "true love and also heartbreak" going through life through my lense is such a different experience to the majority who always seemed to want romantic love and marriage. Having watched all the women in my life chase this one goal and see the different outcomes to that I am so so grateful to 18 year old me who had 1.5 relationships and decided that this whole thing wasn't for her. The best description I can give it is sitting under the shade at a cliff top and watch people constantly jumping off and seeing how they land. Very few seem to land into water and make it out unscathed though which always left me wondering why people keep willingly jumping.
