in my head to give it a reason I like that since these types of things are theorized to help with heat distribution that maybe she was going to grow HUGE so she needed a way to cool off. or just a magical tie in to her rider being descended from valarians who rule the seas so it's meant to be sea creature like. that's just my fun idea

The dragons in this series/book come from just 3 dragons, maybe 4 or 5 of if we include the wild dragons( lets just say Vhagar, Balerion n Meraxes mated with the 1 or two wild dragons in Dragonstome) , how is there so much variation? Its clear Seasmoke is related to Drogon n hs bros so clearly the dragons do inherit the features of the parents. Theres so much variation with how they look it doesn’t make sense
