Pls read! I’ve continued my thoughts here. There obviously should be more done by the companies to give idols the ability to pull away and have stronger security and repercussions for people who violate them. We’re not going to sit her and pretend that the kpop industry doesn’t thrive on parasocialism and perceived proximity, the problem is when it goes unchecked, boundaries are crossed and people are disrespected and hurt by it. As for the individual I mentioned at the start of the video please don’t send hate to this person it doesn’t help anything and doesn’t educate this person and in fact likely cause the opposite for someone to double down. I’d hope JYPE can have stronger rules on these events as to protect their idols and put people on black lists for violating rules and personal boundaries. Although due to the recent xdinary heroes situation and the lack of protection offered to them with the stalking situation I’m doubtful. Which is why I felt it was important to make a video reiterating consent and the boundaries that exist as a fan of kpop idols and groups and why we should respect them. This also goes to other fans too, if you’re in standing at a concert respect each other don’t push, shove, elbow and be mindful of the people around you. I’m aware it’s a minority of people who would be disrespectful and over step boundaries but it only takes one person to do so for someone to get upset or hurt. ##straykids##stay##hyunjin##straykidsafterparty##skzKpop stray kids after party event kpop parasocialism idol fan relationship fyp stray kids interaction
