Posterior is a different recovery process. I’m finding anterior is less painful, less invasive and quicker to get back to normal. I’m 5 weeks in and whilst I’m doing well I still have a limp without a stick so need it for outside walks. Still can’t lift my leg to dress normally, so find ways to make it work.

I was told to take dressing off after 7 days and leave open!! Your doc makes you keep one on at day 11? I guess all surgeons are different. I wanna make sure Im doing everything right!! How long did you wear your TED hose? Thanks! You look great!!!!

We got this!! I had my dressing on for 14days, that’s about the right amount of time to have it on to allow for these incisions to heal and close up correctly! I’m 5 weeks today and benched pressed 120lbs at therapy yesterday!! When you take off that dressing, get this!! I used it on my patients and it worked wonders now I’m using on myself and I already see a huge difference in my scar! Keep pushing, we got this! ❤️
