End of the day, Argentina were likely sick of the narrative of what went on and also, could be mentally and physically drained from all the hard thought games they were in. No excuses that they played terrible but would we be surprised if FIFA did do all this? Maradona called them out before and was right. I personally don’t believe it either, fair play to Spain for winning.

You can actually TELL that Messi told them something regarding his retirement and they were emotional. Idk why he would do that, but they were overpowered by Spain and they were frustrated.
