A little steel (like tweezers or binding wire) gets in there, and boom: instead of cleaning your piece, it deposits a layer of copper all over it. It’s frustrating — but totally fixable. I used to think I had to sand that layer off and start over… but then I learned how to make a super pickle. Just mix hydrogen peroxide with your pickle (I use Sparex), soak the piece, and watch the copper layer disappear in minutes. No scrubbing, no damage, just chemistry doing its thing. It’s a total game changer — especially when you’re on a deadline or just trying to save a piece that’s already halfway done. We all make mistakes at the bench.
