my neurologist recommended migraine buddy. I told him I stopped using it because it was hard to track pain levels when my attack said 400+ days. I'm 8 years in constant pain now. it's so beyond "chronic" and I don't have the words to even explain how exhausted I am sometimes

I finally noticed what a "headache" feels like and I was bewildered. Like, people take meds for that? I can't even feel it unless I concentrate. A normal "headache" is equivalent to how hard I squeeze my head to get a second of relief, and it may not even be that strong.

Hey so what if a doctor did this? I went in after 2 weeks of unrelenting, back to back migraines (had maybe 3 total days of relief) looking to get prevention meds. The doctor walked in and asked “so you’ve been having headaches?” I corrected and said “yes, I’ve been having constant migraines” she corrected me back and called them headaches. She also indirectly accused me of rug seeking and being a ruggy (ex: after I said I’ve been needing to take Tylenol and ibuprofen often out of desperation, she said they’re likely caused by medication overuse. She also sent in a prescription for the preventative and said “it’ll probably feel like you’re under the influence on 🍃, you know what that feels like”). Needless to say, anytime I make an appt, I make SURE i don’t see her ever again 😭

Zolmitriptan, panadein, axe oil, spicy crispy bites (in my language "Murukku") with a hot nescafe or cold coke. sri lankan hoppers with lunu miris, dark cold room with a fan furn on full speed is my Migraine kit

I physically can't do anything when I get a migraine without feeling like I'm going to throw up. It even affects my speech. I slur my words and can't form a sentence. It's the worst. 😵💫

I’ve had migraines since I was like 10 years old and I’m telling you I’d rather have a headache than a migraine and people don’t understand how bad a migraine is so I get so mad when they say this bc people treat it as being dramatic
