There are blessings that are delayed not because God has forgotten you, but because they were exposed before they were mature enough to withstand opposition. God is speaking to someone today: Learn to keep your personal matters private. Not every prophecy should be broadcast. Not every door that opens should be announced. Not every relationship, opportunity, or assignment needs public validation. Some things grow best in silence. An unborn child is protected in the womb until the time of birth. In the same way, God often hides His greatest works until the appointed season. Premature exposure can attract unnecessary opposition, envy, distraction, criticism, and spiritual warfare. Joseph’s dreams were from God, but his immaturity in sharing them exposed him to the jealousy of his brothers. (Genesis 37:5–11) The dream was divine, but the timing of its disclosure lacked wisdom. Even Jesus, after performing certain miracles, repeatedly instructed people to tell no one. (Mark 1:44) It wasn’t because He was afraid of opposition, but because He understood that purpose must never be driven ahead of God’s timing. Wisdom is not only knowing what God has said; it is knowing when, how, and to whom it should be spoken. Not every friend has the capacity to celebrate your next season. Not every listener has the grace to carry your testimony. Some ears become doors through which envy, discouragement, unnecessary opinions, or opposition enter. “A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.” (Proverbs 11:13, KJV) “He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life: but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction.” (Proverbs 13:3, KJV) There is power in silence. There is safety in discretion. There is preservation in waiting until God says, “Now.” May the Lord give you the wisdom to protect what He has entrusted to you until the day He brings it into full manifestation.
