@theandyharrington: Starting with pleasantries loses the audience by the third sentence. Start with a question instead. "Who'd like a life with fewer problems? Raise your hand." Sounds too simple, until you watch what it does to a room. A question forces a micro-decision. The audience has to do something, and the moment they do, they've stopped being spectators. They're inside the content, not in front of it. Pleasantries tell the room nothing important has started yet, and rooms take that permission every time. Three rules: make it universally answerable, make the answer obvious, tie it to the promise of your talk. Full breakdown in the video. Save it before your next presentation. #PresentationSkills #PublicSpeaking #AudienceEngagement #SpeakerTips
