@flokate: Newbuild homes can have character, but they don’t inherit any. So we add it ourselves! We are installing a farmhouse style false chimney breast, with stone tiling, recessed wall for telly, and a functioning stove to our Newbuild home. We were quoted thousands to do this so set about doing it ourselves to save money and make it accessible. We have started, Andy built the frame and we plasterboard it. I want to explain why we have done it in this style/format in a later video, and also what this space in our house actually is, and end goals. New builds can be stunning, modern, and designer spaces with a bit of TLC. I’m super proud of one of our most ambitious projects yet!
