@ponsteyn4x4: Not every restoration has to wear a Land Rover badge... This is the Peugeot P4 – one of the rarest military 4x4s you'll come across. Although it looks like a Mercedes G-Wagen, the P4 was developed in partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot for the French Army in the early 1980s. Mercedes supplied the legendary G-Class chassis and drivetrain, while Peugeot fitted its own engine, gearbox, electrical system and completed the final assembly in France. Over 13,000 were built for military service, but very few ever found their way into civilian hands. We recently had the privilege of restoring this unique piece of military history. From bringing the bodywork back to life to preserving its original character, every detail was carefully finished to honour what makes the P4 so special. Sometimes it's nice to step away from Defenders and work on something that's just as iconic in its own right.
