Two of the most significant were reincarnation and the spiritual hierarchies.For thousands of years, people understood themselves primarily as part of a vast spiritual cosmos. But to awaken individual consciousness, that perspective had to recede. Humanity needed to discover the inner self before returning to the greater spiritual whole. However, the loss of these teachings wasn't necessarily their rejection forever. It was part of the evolutionary journey toward genuine individuality.
