He hacked through the hanging vines over the mouth, cleared it out and raised an insulated timber floor above the wet rock, framed and boarded the walls in warm timber, and sealed the whole cave mouth with a black steel glass wall — with the waterfall pouring straight down just outside the glass. He built a kitchen, wired warm lights to a portable power station and made it cozy.
