deforestation, removal of swamp lands & poorly maintained drainage infrastructure are what's causing the increased rates & severity flooding smh. Fossil fuel industry is the biggest scapegoat.

The fossil fuel industry should just stop providing fossil fuels to the state of Virginia if they don't like them. 🤷

anything but keeping insurance companies from paying out right? heres a crazy idea, if i have insurance on something they pay for it regardless of the reason for it being damaged. and im sorry but you can take any natural disaster and slap a human climate change tag on it. this is just completely ridiculous

I’m with companies on this one. While fossil fuel companies may be one of the most visible components, a plethora of other factors are included in climate change, including AI usage and the habits of individuals. However, I agree with others. “Acts of god” should be covered by insurance. That’s why we have insurance…in case something goes wrong. If you live in an area where the chance of an act of god is high (flood areas, high fire risks, frequent earthquakes), have supplemental insurance or tiers of insurance.

I think all billionaires should be responsible for fixing the world, if they don't we sees all their properties and money to help the needy

I don't know. Its like blaming the dealer instead of the buyer. These companies don't just make stuff because they're evil and hate the environment, they do so because we buy their stuff, inc. fuel.
