Yesterday I went into my local retailer to buy a bottle of Domestos, refuse removal bags, and a few snacks (chips and biscuits). To my surprise, the total at the till came to R368. I honestly wonder how people living below the poverty line are expected to survive in this madness. The cost of everyday essentials has become absolutely outrageous, and it's disgusting what consumers are being charged. What a shithole of an economy and government (GNU).
