Don’t listen to the people that are bitter and talk shit on nursing. I think it really depends upon where you work and what unit you work on. But nursing has so much to offer and if you’re in a job and don’t like it, there are so many more paths you can take within nursing. You can also further your education and the schedule is super nice!

Pre nursing major here! if you have time, become a CNA first to get hospital hours, or become a volunteer at a hospital you want to work at so it’s a little easier to find a new grad job!

i just finished my first semester of nursing school and personally, i have had so much fun and my classes have not been bad at all!! imo, if you can do generals, you can do nursing school. working in a hospital has helped me so much, and finding a solid group of friends that you can study and have fun with is essential!!

You just need to know you made the best switch of your life. I also switched my sophomore year from education to nursing, now graduated and working on a neuro PCU floor and love it!!! Nursing school was ROUGH but if you put in the work it’s so worth it where I’m at now 🤭

Get a per diem pct job after fundamentals clinical. It helps sososo much. You work directly with nurses and see what their day to day look like while learning real medical terms, names of medications and you get a feel for doing nursing in a hospital. Plus you gain more confidence in talking to patients and nurses

Omg you’re gonna be totally fine. People literally make it seem like nursing school is terrible but if you manage your time you will be fine and will still have a great college life. I’m gonna be a senior this fall and my best advice is to just focus on your own academics and learning and do NOT listen to people who say it’s too hard. You can totally do it

I’m in an accelerated nursing program and I have two weeks left of my summer term. I still see my friends on the weekend and am able to workout 4-5x a week. It’s definitely draining but also very rewarding. Buy a whiteboard and quizlet plus subscription 💖
