Level headed :
As someone who left brum in 1984 and only goes back a few times a year to visit parents, the changes are huge. I have to rely on sat nav to get around my home town. Some changes are good some not so good. That’s progress I guess. New street station I would say is a positive

miss the old town. 90s so much memories,pallasades, pavillions, Sunday carboot, rag markets with my mum and still going to this day. Indoor too and fish market's. so much has changed and everything has been shut down or demolished. dale end shops, McDonald's, priory square. old central library. rackams has now closed😔

the biggest con was that the 60s architecture was bad. it wasn't, it made Birmingham unique and amazing but the council were lazy buggers and didn't take care of it properly

That’s when they used to decorate the whole of town with Xmas decorations and it actually felt so xmassy. Now we’re lucky if they put anything up.
