as someone who just got married this year . . . my ENTIRE wedding cost like $6000 CAD and we didn't care what our guests did once the photos were done. Also, expecting people to change their entire appearance for your wedding is INSANE. If you don't like how they look, why did you invite them into your wedding party???

no it’s not 5k total but 5k PER. It is 100% to fund the wedding bc unless they’re all buying dresses, shoes, accessories, etc. that cost thousands of dollars, there’s no way it costs 5k for a single person’s dress, hair, and makeup.

she's expecting the brides maids to pay for the wedding. plain and simple. I'm in my sister's wedding next year and a really nice dress is a couple hundred at most, with the exception of designer brands, and makeup artists aren't that expensive unless they are also very high end. I think she just wants someone else to pay for the wedding.

Nope. Immediately out on the first rule. We ladies didn’t eat much throughout the day and that plus anxiety of being up there in public and hypoglycemia on top of all that… my tummy was nauseous af. I was standing up there and dry heaved one time and had to decide if I was going to vomit in the baptismal font or on the floor. I kept it together thank god.

When I get married the bridesmaids rules are going to be so simple: 1. One of them has to keep track of time on the day because most of us are easily distractible. 2. One of them has to remind us all to eat and stay hydrated. 3. Wear whatever you want, it's a party, not a theatrical production.
