Realizing I couldn’t wear cute shoes (especially heels) caused me so much more emotional distress than I’d like to admit. It really is just the random small things

Hey girl for everything showers I HAVE to use a shower seat, a hand held shower head AND a scalp scrubby 🙌🏻 I miss hiking so much especially not being bed ridden for a week after. I miss vacuuming my entire house with being in excruciating pain for days after.

I developed gastroparesis at 18 and am not supposed to drink, meaning I may never get to go to a bar and get drunk with friends

I haven’t sat down and made a list but in the last 3 years so much in my life has changed that I can’t do anymore due to becoming chronically ill. My dreams and hopes for my future have had to change drastically. I’m sorry so much has changed for you. I hope that some things get to stay with you.

I have to wear noise-canceling headphones whenever I visit the movies because the sound hurts my ears. The headphones don't block the sound entirely, but they lower it enough so my ears aren't in panic mode the entire time. I can do an everything shower using a shower chair, but I am usually wiped out afterward. I feel so completely fatigued, like I've used every spoon I ever had, leaving me with no energy for anything else. I have been disabled my entire life, but sometimes it just hits me—this sucks so bad—especially when struggling trying to complete a simple task. I've had many mid-task meltdowns.

Ugh all of this. I finally caved and got a shower chair bc my foot decided to humpty dunpty apart and had to be put back together again. But like, taking an everything shower again? *Chef's kiss* and sometimes I have energy to do stuff after.
Movie theater? Try sitting on the side, closest seat to the wall/stairs.
